Toronto's City Hall built in 1965 and designed by Finnish architect.

Sculptures in the foreground fountain pond are said to be depictions

of Mayor Rob Ford after a crack spree :-(

I find the composition a little bit on the conservative side. City Hall in the center, two cropped buildings on each side. I don't know what's to the left, but I might have shifted a bit to the left (keeping the skyscraper at the right in the frame but omitting the parking garage / office building on the right edge - or try a square crop...

I like the B/W rendition. Any reason why the major of Toronto looks out over various animal heads on stakes?

Just my thoughts.

You visited Toronto, eh?! Was it a pleasant trip? I hope it was - Toronto is a great city and doesn't deserve our Showman of the Year! Though Ford Nation is pretty strong here and it includes people of power and money. Which is sad to comprehend that polite, caring, friendly, educated, people of moral and law obedient, who teach their kids GOOD things can be ruled by these greedy for money and power hypocrites... Sad, but happens all the time.... Best regards, Tamara

Also referred to as a "Hangar for a Flying Saucer".  In truth, this is one of the nicest images I've seen of Toronto's City Hall.  I must respectfully part company with Christoph on his crop suggestion as I favour your original post.  The arches over the reflecting pool are an important part of the total City Hall complex and I'm happy you included at least part of them.  As for the foreground head on a post, well, it properly reflects the 'bull' coming from the structure behind it. :-)  Thanks for the inspiration.  Next time I get to Toronto, 60 miles away, I'll try to duplicate it.  That, it is said, is the ultimate in flattery.  Well done!  Best, LM.
