Ross,

beautiful image. It reminds me of an image by Freeman Patterson and an essay by Aldo Leopold. I can't remember where I saw the image (it shows a piece of roadside prairie), but the Leopold essay is "Illinois Bus Ride". Both deal with prairie remnants along highways.
