Mark Keefer 4,733 Posted January 24, 2014 A fresh blanket of snow lays on the graves at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. One of the hardest shoots for me being here in the snow in January. My pop was a lifer in the Army. He passed 26 years ago on a snowy January day. I miss him. Celebrate these honored who rest here and the lives lived. Link to comment
Off_The_Wall_Photography 0 Posted January 26, 2014 Mark, I appreciate the sentiments expressed above.I do think it would be a stronger image by cropping out the background and some of the foreground to just above the shadow in the LLH corner. Link to comment
stp 6 Posted January 26, 2014 My first thought was to crop out the background, leaving a series of intersecting shades of gray. The separate tombstone in the foreground "tell us" what the tombstones in the background are like, and I think you've framed the foreground well (from my experience, this is the hardest portion of s graveyard scene to compose). Mark Keefer 4,733 Posted January 31, 2014 Ken and Stephen, thanks for the great suggestions. Appreciated. Yes looking at the background, it does nothing for the photo but take away from the image. Link to comment
