Hey, AJ!

You haven't seen this version! That's the first one! This remake has a lot of shortcomings, but isn't that bad as the first one, it's empty and has no visual explanation for the shadows! And they (the shadows) are too sharp!

Thank you for your visit and kind comment!

Yes I like this much better than the first. Now the sun adds perspective to it.  Well done!!!!   AJ

Vladimir(e)!

I don't remember the films names and content, the actor is a favorite of mine, though! IE, I can't find anything in my memory which I can connect with this picture and the content of any movie I've seen!

Thank you for your precious visit and peculiar comment!

P.S. I just took action to download that movie, it's downloading now!

Great idea, Pierre! Reminds me my childhood back in....long ago. No no, not in a desert of course, but the rest is just true to life! Warmest regards, Tamara

Dear Tamara,

It reminds us of the labor's day excursion, the 2nd of May there was an excursion, pick-nick or whatever should I call it in English! All throughout the communist world and maybe even wider for which I have no information.

Thank you for your precious visit and kind of a confused backing in memory the good old days!

Serge,

In my dictionary there is no meaning of the word cool which would be appropriate for this picture, namely it says there that cool means freshness, cold etc. Ha! I'm kidding, glad you consider this picture good!

Thank you for your visit and nice comment!

Welcome, Electronic!

It wasn't so difficult, I just had to put the figures in a ready to work environment and make them shadows!

In my reply to AJ Bart there is a hyperlink on which you should click and locate the previous version!

Thank you very much for your precious visit and comment!

If you say so, Marco...

...It must be so! I didn't meant, but to say that! Simply a family or circle of friends on pick-nick...but if you say future will be desert it will be so!

Thank you for your warning!

Hi Pierre,

For me, the look into the future is best provided by the lead characters in this scene.

The young child has the best advantage offered to him by his elevation looking forward.

It is nice to see that there are no references to electronic devices, as this hinders the growth

of many young minds.

Best Regards my friend, Uncle Mike

Dear Uncle Mike,

You are going to change my mind! I already said that it wasn't meant to show our poor future in the deserted Earth! But, I will accept it when you say so! About the devices like iPod, i Pad, tablets, androids, bloody digital games players and such I'm very happy that in the for-coming future we won't be bothered with that kind of stuff! I totally agree with you about their influence on the children's growth and future!

Thank you for your precious visit and your optimistic for the Earth prognosis!

OK . . . I hope that everyone is wearing sunscreen, given the position of the sun and the shadows.  Unlike a previous image involving the solitary man, I think this group is about to spread blankets and to enjoy a picnic meal.  I also hope they have plenty of water.

However . . . an alternative take.  The innocent children are being led into the middle of the desert to be fed a hearty lunch only to get them comfortable enough for a session of propaganda.   The lizard is watching this processional and is unable or unwilling to interfere, symbolic of the millions of parents throughout the world who are unwilling or unable to participate in their children's education.

Black and white was definitely the right choice for this image.  Very strong whites and blacks make for a great deal of impact.

My best always,

michael

And, by the way, Pierre, I didn't read one of your responses posted shortly before mine.  This may make some difference in how you read my comments.

Hi, Michael!

A lot of interpretations and I already decided to follow uncle Mike and before him Marco Overdiep!

About the kids and their education with the contemporary electronic devices I and uncle Mike already said enough!

Thank you for your thorough observation of the meaning of this modest work!
