Jim,

I can't believe you were in the TOWN WHERE I LIVE!!!! in August and if I had known you were coming here I would have given you my phone number!!! or I for SURE would have loved meeting you. But perhaps you did not realize I lived here!! The lock is quite something isn't it??? The system is really a 'marvel'. It is the 'hub' of Tourism for so many small towns in Southern Ontario during the Late Spring to Fall months. I should have posted an image of it by now. This was a perfect day for your visit. I recall how hot it was in August. You had a very bright and sunny day for your visit. I hope you got to see more of the sights.  Excellent capture Jim.

Kindest regards, and sorry I did not have the opportunity to meet you!! Gail

It's my city too and you have done a fine job with our famous lift lock. I happen to know Gail and the three of us could have met for a coffee and talked about your travels. Best wishes.

I like the perspective and how that enabled you to capture a hint of this magnificent structure's reflections on the water.

My best,

michael

now wouldn't that be wonderful!!!  I met Garry through my Dad. They have both been in the same Camera Club for many years. Besides being a great photographer, he is one of the most pleasant people I have ever met.
