Great example of being in the right place at the right time. The sun just sitting above the crest of the hill & surrounded by the darkening clouds & mist create e feeling of isolation & remoteness, a unique image.Well seen & composed. Best Regards-Ross

Good to hear from you. What you see here is a shot over our very flat landscape and what might seem like a hill is just an open dark sky and the sun is just on the edge of that sharply cut cloud. On this one,I am experimenting with a recently purchased graduated filter with the dark side on the sky to create this effect.Glad you like and I thank you for the kind appreciation. You take care!

Looking this almost similar with previous sky but did on a free space I really have the feeling of cold winter.I read now your comment about the filter you used and find the answer for my previous question,is an interesting result indeed and I think this can help a lot in some light situation.Good to know.

a good Sunday to have

Yes!After I left the parking lot,I rushed here hoping that I would catch the sun before it disappeared behind that wall moving in.This filter is a good tool if you have a clear sky as here, but more difficult to use if you have tall structures in the scene as it will alter the light unevenly, therefore to be used carefully.Looks as if our spring-like weather is over as it is colder and snowing as I write.

Salutations amicales-Laurent
