The reason for posting the picture: 1) I had never photographed this species of Tern and I like to use Photo.net as a place to catalogue my observation, 2) it is unusual (for me) to get the AF to focus on the bird when the background is so busy, 3) bird was about a 1/4 mile away so the focus is not so bad considering the degree of enlargement that is shown here.
