This image must be viewed large in order to get the correct exposure. While

enjoying a walk in North Beach I captured a few interesting frames. Your

comments are appreciated. Thanks for taking a moment to comment. Larry

Hi Larrty -We have always wanted to visit San Francisco ,they say it"s a wonderful place to visit., did you tour the dock areas..It is interesting to compare the older with the new addition. in its day the older section would have been the more attractive structure by a country mile.. Nice photos. Best Regards-Ross

Ross,  Yes, San Francisco is a terrific city to visit.  I was there to work this time, so only had a chance to capture a few images on this walk in North Beach.  I have been to the embarcadero (I guess this is the docks)  but not recently.  It was nice being there in January when it was bitterly cold here in Minnesota.  San Francisco's 55 degrees F felt like summer.   Thanks for your visit.  I am going to post another couple images of an interesting building.  Too bad I couldn't get a better angle and position to take the shots from.  It's really rushed when crossing a busy street.  Keep  warm.  Larry

Yannis,   Thanks for your visit and compliments.  I took the image with my point and shoot that I carry on trips that are business - just no space for camera gear.  I was fortunate to capture this at the end of the afternoon without harsh sunlight.   Best to you.  Larry

Patsy,  Thanks.  I was fortunate to be out in late afternoon when the light was soft.  I am pretty impressed with the Lumix DMC-LX5 point and shoot that I used.  I take it on trips when a DSLR is neither feasible nor practical.  There is a newer one available LX7, I believe.  The camera has all the settings and flexibility of a DSLR without the interchangeable lenses.  Thanks for your visit and comment.  Larry

Building like this one always get my attention. It is so architecturally interesting. Your point and shoot really captures some excellent detail Larry! You sure do travel to a lot of places in your business!!! Great Photo Ops!!!

kind regards, Gail

Hi Gail,  Thanks for your visit.  Actually, I am retired, but do some travel in maintaining professional contact.  I still am amazed at your "trick" images.  We have a huge blizzard right now, worst snow of the year.  Brance yourself - it's moving east.   Larry
