I like the composition of this image and prefer it to the portrait version I saw earlier. The cracks and puddles in the ice are beautiful.

I read above comment but for me this looks total different and I like it more,so huge space is seen here and winter light creates the magic.Of course each one with his taste and is good that we are different and this is the way to go step by step farther.

I like the almost equal division of the picture plane between heaven and earth Each seems to take something of the other onto itself. The gentle rivalry is mediated by the very thin layer of trees on the horizon line. Almost nothing is to be seen but the sheer magnificence of sky and snow.
