Dear Laurent,

This is beautiful. I especially like how the gently curves of the reeds flow with the curves of the sky. Extraordinary!

This was a good scene and I tried working the ''curves'' to give it a different twist.Glad you liked;thank you for the kind comment.

Laurent,

The light is beautiful, and the grass in the foreground works well. The only thing distracting me is that you pushed the curves (did you?) so much that the gray sky is seriously banded. Of course, after having just seen the abstract version, this may just be the look you were going for.

You guessed right! On this one,I just wanted to leave reality and push the curves until I got something pleasant to the eye with no real concern with the banding effect. The abstract one was just pushing it more and judging from the reception, I must come to the conclusion that this is best left with somebody that is into that area of expertise.I truly appreciate your observation on this.

Merci et meilleures salutations-Laurent

Hi Laurent,

while I personally preferred the most natural version of your sunset pictures, I enjoyed the different versions tremendously. So, please, don't leave it to the "experts"!
