cegeiss 6 Posted January 10, 2014 hm - I can't decide whether I find it great or too manipulated. But then, it can't be all that bad: you had me staring at it for a a few minutes. Resizing, zooming in, zooming out, squinting at it ... I can't quite figure it out, so I'd say: good and interesting work. :-) Link to comment
M_Lipakis 3 Posted January 10, 2014 Thanks a lot Christoph for the time you took to write what you think of my photo. Here is the original shoot, if it can be of any help to your decision, but just for the record the final version is more or less exactly what i had in mind when i started "altering" it.Thanks again. alfbailey 2 Posted January 11, 2014 I quite like the effect you have created, the dream like atmosphere is quite compelling. Maybe a touch lighter to reveal some of the detail that is there in the original version? Compliments! Alf Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 567 Posted January 12, 2014 I lean towards the painterly style. Very kind of you to show the original. I think Alf makes a good point - the image makes me want to see more of the detail particularly in the rock. Link to comment
M_Lipakis 3 Posted January 14, 2014 Thank you all for pointing that out guys.Indeed i overdid it a little bit, not so with the bodies i think but certainly the mountains on the background and the rock could have kept their texture and detail. Thanks again, that's the whole essence of commenting and criticism here.
