Hi David,

the texture of the blood on the upper lip is perfect. I like the use of lights and the voluntary imperfection of the lipstick. But I'm a little bit embarrassed by the off center (perhaps it's because of my scientific side). I don't perceive the reason. If you can enlighten me :-).

I am normally not a fan of the use of selective color but it is used effectively here. There is a level of passion, maybe the red, portrayed in this photograph that works well. I too like the imperfection in the lip covering, it makes the photograph more than an lip gloss ad.

Benoit, I must admit I didn't fully understand your comment until I read Mark's comment below. As for the composition, I just felt her philtrum is more interesting than her lower lip.

Mark, I hear you. I am not a fan of selective colour either but I do seem to do it more than I should. I am glad it doesn't look like lip gloss. It is blood... but it might not be real blood you understand. (MIGHT NOT)

Actually, a very impressive mix of genres: macro, fashion, concept etc. and they don't cry apart - quite the other way - they sing together! Excellent work on red and details, brilliant composition. Thanks for sharing.

Because these lips are so vividly red, they can only belong to a vampire.  I suspect she's quite sexy in her own, come out only when the sun goes down, way.
