I do think your first post (with the green building on the right) was a better composition, primarily because 1) we (in the West) read from left to right, and 2) it avoided a lot of empty space on the right that just doesn't seem to contribute much to the photo.  Overall, I think the first version felt better balanced.

I Prefer this one over the other one you like, but its a personal liking, to me this gives more sense of space and balance. Thanks for your input and comments, much appreciated.
