This is a repost of this image at f32. I am going to try to post 2 more here, one at f18 and one at f2.8 Besides the exposure time which had to be adjusted for the f stop, the other elements are the same , distance for instance. They are all sharpened the same way. The exercise is to show the difference in images depending on the f-stop, viz,  DOF, with the most obvious being the 2.8. While there is nothing wrong with the image, it is entirely different from the others with  the f32 showing the greatest dof. I don't think there is much visible difference in sharpness, clarity of those portions of the image in focus.

Thanks.

Greg

Hi Gregory and Verena,  I like the flower at F18,  the first image at f32 looks a little dull and the bug probably could have been removed.  Did you try cropping the image at a 1 to 1 ratio. It might be more pleasing, but then again you really only have to please yourself.

take care,

Thanks, Dave-

I wasn't really looking for "likes"- they are all different and I just wanted to point out the difference that f stop makes.  As far as lightness in the f 18 one, that is an issue of the lighting, not the f-stop. The f 32 is a little darker, but on purpose and I could have cloned out the critter- but critters got rights too!   :)

Cheers,

G
