It looks like you're moving heading in a more subjective direction nowadays which I think adds a great deal of color and mood to your latest pictures. Now you seem not only to be chronicling your surroundings but also capturing your personal relationship to them. This picture gives the impression of a road trip, both the real world kind and in the sense of a personal quest, a la Jack Kerouac. Really one of your best, I think; it goes into my favorites.

There's something about the angle of that wife and the contrast of the raindrops that are engaging. Without the wiper, it would be much more "ho-hum" I think. It gives a directionality maybe. I'm not sure, but I do very much like this one as well.

I like this winter, everyday image. Your handling of the colors is perfect.

Tell me, where do you have your hands, when driving a car ?

Thanks for the very nice words, everybody.

Tommy, I dare not say that this was a "Look ma, no hands" kind of situation.

This was shot during an early summer thunderstorm, and the windshield wiper was at maximum speed--bit it was not enough.  I have never driven through heavier rain, even when I drove into the spiral bands around hurricanes Camille (1969), Agnes (1972), and Eloise (1975).

This is a great capture! I love everything about it! I've driven through rain like that and you have really captured it well! Thank you for sharing. :)
