Little Blue Heron

Marvin,

I really like your shot here of the Little Blue Heron. The details, sharpness and natural background are all attractive to me.

However, my only quibble might be that overall it appears too light and could possibly use a little more contrast. Just my opinion though, others may disagree.

I'd be curious to know what f/stop & Shutter Speed you shot this at!

We don't see many Little Blue's here in the midwest!

I used an ISO of 500, 1/250sec, and f10. It was late in the day and the lighting was harsh. I cropped out the really bright and glaring water.

If the Little Blue Heron is scarce in the mid-west you may be interested in the immature version which I also took that day but I haven't gotten to yet - it's white. Stay tuned.
