The color is more exalted than the structure itself, which could blend easily if painted gray or some other nondescript shade.  Orange against the blue sky is lovely.

Gut response: a carrier pigeon waiting on top of the newest structure to replicate communications when the lights go out ; )

Lovely combination of various technologies representatives, Jack! Looks quite attractive and technically is well done!

Best regards

Hi Jack, i like what i see but i am puzzled with the title here.

Promitheas (according to Greek mythology) among other things:

- Created the first man with the aid of Athena

- Stole fire from Gods and gave it to mankind

- tought man how to create tools and introduced sciences (this one fits here a bit)

- Tought people to sacrifice to gods

- Saved mankind from a cataclysm that Zeus caused to destroy people

- was severely punished by Zeus to have his leaver eaten every day by a vulture (he was immortal so every night his leaver was self-cured just to suffer again an other day) until he was freed by Hercules.

Hi Jack, I think your composition is very good in how the structure juts into the image, it's powerful and all else is secondary....hmm you could say almost God like :-) The color doesn't hurt either. But seriously it is an interesting photo and as an earlier poster said the orange against that blue sky is great. Take care. Have a healthy and happy New Year.

Best Regards,

Holger

Jack, this is a great and impressive image tending to the extravagance. Excellent title!

The folly of humankind is encapsulated in its entirety in a single bird sitting on this dramatic structure.  Is the bird planning to eat my liver as I sleep tonight?
