clayton_m 4 Posted January 1, 2014 Since I rated this image below average, I thought it appropriate to comment with my reasons. Pros: The composition is decent. The opening in the trees where road disappears adds interest. The light contrast is well managed with respect to highlight and shadow. Cons: The area of trees which occupies a majority of the space appears too cluttered and unorganized. No elements in the composition really stand out, giving it a somewhat random appearance. I think what it's missing is a central point of interest. The opening in the trees could serve that purpose, but it needs something more. For example, if you had instructed someone to stand or walk into the opening as a silhouette, that would bump the interest level up a notch or two. Also, this type of scenery is very common in the area where I live, so perhaps I have a bias of being less impressed by it. Anyway, just my humble opinion. Respectfully, -Clayton Link to comment
museebfoto 2 Posted January 2, 2014 Hi ClaytonI appreciate your rating and your thoughts, and I wish for everyone to do the same when they find what they dislike.Low rating without point of view, doesn't mean anything, two or three words after 2, 3, or 4 rating, give credibility for the rating. For this reason, I don’t vote on the picture that I don't like unless I can write " why " as you have did. Back to the photo, this image and the other two with same title, they was taken from inside a moving car, therefore, there was no chance to wait any subject in the road. Very common view, yes and occasionally happen.Thank you and Happy New Year Link to comment
