The expression is priceless, he has that question in his eyes that communicates with the owner and in this case the viewer.  I think there is some merit in the former comment relating to the background carpet, but a dark vignette would soon disguise that I think.

Very well done!

Svend – I am glad you find resemblance to Disney’s characters:). I myself found the carpet distracting too and actually did another version with Nik software where the background is taken away.

Alf - Thank you for the kind words- the expression was the main thing for posting this photo and “priceless”, and I hope it gets even better once the carpet is away from the background. I made one trial version according to your suggestion. However, there are many options and I have to work some time with the Nik programs to get familiar with them, as I am working only with a demo version.

Joao- Thank you for the compliment and Happy New Year!!

Such a sweet expression! I really don't mind the background carpet. Of course, in a perfect world or in a studio, maybe we would have other options but I see this as a photograph of the adorable Tapsu in his environment. One of the things that makes viewing photos of Tapsu so much fun is to see him living, loving and experiencing life in his surroundings-either at home or outdoors. Wonderful capture of that sweet face and expression! Thank you for sharing! :)

Trisha- Thank you for commenting and kind words! I see your point and the expression was the reason why I decided to post the photo in the first place:) However, playing with the options and cropping the face in a different way and removing distractions from the background makes this a challenge and thanks to the discussions we have here one more option was posted for further discussion… Honestly, I am not totally happy with neither of the photos when it comes to PP, but glad that I tried and learned a lot of the different possibilities what you can do with these Nik programs. Tapsu is not too keen on posing – so one has to be quick, otherwise the moment is gone. Here he wanted to be toweled so much – which made his face express the same- so capturing was easier and just in time before…a possible jump, -which can happen if you come too close with a wide-angle lens…it get’s a Kiss:)
