andrzejp 6 Posted December 20, 2013 There seems to be a serious problem there. The glass looks empty, otherwise a wonderful image. I love the gentle smile. Link to comment
John Peri 1,007 Posted December 20, 2013 Thank you Andrew. Hmm, I think it's the transparency of Champagne that gives that impression, but the real problem would have been though if she didn't really drink it .. : -) Link to comment
hen_ry 1 Posted December 20, 2013 we have a hater of women photography in the ratings. You got a mark of 1 from the 12th rater. This is not a fair rater ( women-hater??). But we are in a open system, everyone can live out his bad education and character! Beautiful tones. hen Ry Link to comment
John Peri 1,007 Posted December 20, 2013 Haha, thanks Hen Ry .. I only look at the ratings when I feel it is time to return a courtesy visit or to evaluate the interest before a publication, otherwise they really don't have much interest. That said, there are some people that have absolutely no interest in nude photography that make a sport out of searching them out in order to downrate them, Sometimes the reason is religious learnings, other times just envy. Frankly, who cares .. : -) PN should possibly consider only allowing subscribers to do the rating, which may solve the problem partly, but they need the large number of "members" for advertising purposes, this is a business after all, I understand them. hen_ry 1 Posted December 20, 2013 I allways make a bit statistics, try to find out, who are the bad raters. In one point I am on the false way: the system mixes also the marks, so it is perhaps not rater 12, who gave the 1, because I am rater 13 and gave a 6. But with the given averages of the photographers you get perhaps the bad one. Sorry for this remarks, and not speaking of this beautiful photo. Best regards. hen Ry Link to comment
John Peri 1,007 Posted December 20, 2013 Roberto, if this is to develop into a debate, I think it would be better placed in a forum, not under someone's work that is posted here for critique. Thank you. Link to comment
niki3 0 Posted December 20, 2013 I love your pictures, but this has some problems ... excuse me if I would some criticism but I would have preferred a little more contrast ... of course this is only my opinion! Merry Christmas my friend Link to comment

John Peri 1,007 Posted December 20, 2013 Thank you for visiting friends. All comments are welcome, especially the unfavourable ones that lead one to look at a work again through a different perspective, thank you Niki. Link to comment
yecon 0 Posted December 20, 2013 Copying and pasting here my post on Hen's picture of Mary's back, I tottaly agree with your remark regarding the ratings and the way some people (ab)use this tool. I believe that only people who comment on photos should be allowed to rate them. Everyone else should only be allowed to like/not like the photo. A system like that serves much better the supposed educational purpose of the site...Beyond that, this a masterpiece John! No less than 7... Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 258 Posted December 21, 2013 Mild tones prevail, only the hair and the floor are a bit darker, interesting pose and I would say a classic face and facial expression! Maybe the glass should be closer to the model, just a few inches not to be cut and maybe 10 to be more accessible to her! But it's just my view of the logic more than aesthetics of this beautiful photo! Best regards, John! PDE Link to comment
