Well composed and presented, good details and popping colours. Maybe I would burn upper right corner a bit more. Definitely a keeper.

Thanks for your input on this one.  Yah, upper corner could be burned or replaced with some judicious cloning.  Have a Merry Christmas and I'll see you in 2014.  Best, LM.

Simple and beautiful cut from the nature in fall! Burt there is another aspect, the human undermining! Hope it will be better in 2014!

Happy New Year, Len!

Thanks for your input.  I think the leaning Oak tree's days are numbered.  The erosion continues unabated though the trees may stand for years yet.  Here is a view I took about 5 years ago.  (far root system)  Happy New Year.  See you in 2014.  LM.

Len, This scene looks familiar. Could be the high bank on Willow Creek where we did the frigid shoot in winter a few years back? The leaning tree adds some dynamic to an otherwise static scene. The brown and grey tree trunks stand out better here against the green leaves in the background than they would have, juxtaposed against a forest of similar trunks.

Good memory.  Ten years ago last month.  This is where we headed after my Bronica froze up at Tiny Marsh.  This is another favourite haunt of mine which provides me with many different images every time I go there.  Seasonal changes, different atmospherics, changes over time (still waiting for the tree to fall off the cliff after more than 10 years), all help provide a different look, even from similar vantage points.  Come up in warmer weather & we'll revisit this location.  Best, LM.
