Garbage doubling as a trash receptacle.  How inventive.  i like the grimy wall, which gives an air of modernism amidst the age.  Nice fine, nicely captured.

Taking out the trash or doing the laundry . . . whichever may be the case, the image speaks to our throwaway culture.  Too bad that people also are discarded after their usefulness.

Perhaps I'm anthropomorphizing too much here -- after all, not too long ago it was people who washed clothes and dishes (and in many parts of the world it still is!) -- but it's sad to see a useful machine reach the end of its "life", too. Here, you have documented it as if it is a person who has passed on, and this "eulogy" gives me even more respect for the machines that make our lives so much easier.

A great find, Jack. Your photos, more often than not, coax some terrific and insightful comments from those who see them.  This is one of those.  ~~L

As I age so does my memory and not in a good way. I do have a sense of deja vu with this one but I still like it. All the very best,

Dear Jack,

This is a powerful and compelling image for sure. Bravo to you for seeing the artistic possibilities in this and capturing and presenting them so well. Great!

Jack,   How bizarre this image would remind me of something like "the scream" E. Munch. What I like in your photography is the purpose of usefulness in images and messages they convey. You see and snap ideas, stories, banalities that challenge, involve and question the viewers. I do like this one simply because it is well taken and stimulates inspiring thoughts.  Best wishes,
