This is a cotton field at the Boone Hall plantation in the Charleston, South

Carolina, area. I suspect at least a few slaves tried to get through it to the

woods. Thanks for viewing and for comments.

I really like the perspective and tones here, especially the dark line of woods that serves as the top border. The shadows makes this more than just a simple landscape picture, adding a narrative component, although I'd rather not have the one on the left.
