AJ,for sure this first your photo need a bit of sharpness and clarity on the main subject, also I saw those excellent branches in bg with green leaves that fit so well with composition you did.First image I try to download but was protected and I can do it,this your version was possible so hope no offense  from you I did a mine version, where I try to dark left down part that imo must be seen just a bit,I lighted the part with green leaves, some shadows on mushroom and more tonal contrast on log, unfortunately was done on a small size photo and not result as I wish to be,but I want to share my idea to be better understand how I see this composition. The fact is that the base photo is very good to do as many changes you want.Good light for more excellent photos to be my friend.

Radu, thanks much for your critique!!!!  I really like what you did with the photo. I have a lot to learn and you and my other friends here at PN are all doing an excellent job of helping me.   Many thanks.    AJ

Fabulous and I see you have already got good advice on this image. No three or 4 photographers will see it quite the same and it is the subtle variations is what makes this form of art' so interesting to me.

Without describing the way  I see it,  I will simply add an attachment.

Thanks Tony, I like your version also.  Many things to think about here. The more I look it over the more I wish I had added some water to the mushroom!!  AJ
