Every year during Carnival dozens of brightly costumed bands, drill teams

and assorted revelers from every town in Bolivia descend on the bleak

highland town of Oruro for a spectacle that begins in the early morning and

ends in the wee hours.

Jim - there are lots of eye candy here and all of it very appealing. The very short dresses are  attractively designed with color patterns against the white and then we have have red and white shoes. The "pièce de résistance" is all of those those female legs so kudos for the composition which seems to emphasize this aspect.

I am not sure if you have your camera's setting is on 'cloudy' which tends to warm up the image and maybe this is the effect you want. I would tend to adjust the color balance  so that the white markings on the street look more white ... I am going to see if I can download your image and play with it ........................

After playing with it, I prefer the version you have.

All the best,

I don't know if that what Tony had in mind (about white balance), but i would also crop out the gentleman's leg to the right and i would have emphasized on the lower part of the image.

But even as is it, the picture does conveys the party atmospheare, its's a worth seen image and i thank you for sharing it.

Keep shooting.

Great carnavalesque shot and you seized the atmosphere that resides at these events.I have not been to Bolivia but I experienced similar folklorique meetings during my time in Peru.Good work!

Meilleures salutations-Laurent

Interesting...

My eyes automatically go their brightly colored costumes but it is the visual stimulus of their red/white shoes that keeps me interested and looking for more things on the pavement.
