Wayne Sadler 567 Posted December 5, 2013 There is an excitement to painting without planning, without a subject in mind, allowing brush strokes, color, direction, forms, etc. dictate or suggest what is to follow. There is a tension and a kind of fear in not knowing where you are going. If everything works-out and you don’t get in the way you eventual understand what the painting is all about and you have a piece of art. The drawback in painting this way is you don’t feel you can take full credit for the results. Imaging lens bokeh is the closest I have come to this way of "painting" with photograph. Comments and critique welcome. Link to comment

alfbailey 2 Posted December 5, 2013 I can see the bird, yes and the lady too! I like this impressionist type of work. I guess with all types of photography in the field there is always an element of luck, this kind of pushes the boundaries a stage further. Compliments! Alf Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 567 Posted December 6, 2013 Patsy,Thanks. Less processing and more happening on its own. Link to comment

wink_photo 0 Posted December 6, 2013 Wayne. I think the result is lovely. I have been experimenting with this type of technique and think you really got this one right. Also, it has been my experience that a bit of luck is part of the process. All the best. Dana... Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 567 Posted December 6, 2013 Dana,Thanks. I have been experimenting for some time without a lot of success. It is like what the mind does with clouds and tweaking with placement of tonal value to hopefully allow others to see what the "mind's eye" sees. Link to comment

schouwman 0 Posted December 13, 2013 Wayne! photo editing and painting has always subjectief.Je make your self a choice when editing a photo, and the results that jou want."And the results very nice!! softlight-contrast and beautiful atmosphere (creative work) best regards janegber Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 567 Posted December 14, 2013 Tony,Thanks for the poetic compliment. Sometimes with photographs I like to "brush stroke and draw" on an image much like when painting but this image did most of the work itself. I primarily had to see it and give it a little "touch-up". Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 567 Posted December 14, 2013 Janegbert,Thanks. Sometimes an image is more given than taken. Link to comment

Jack McRitchie 150 Posted April 3, 2015 This method naturally results in a lot of misses but the marriage of chance and intent often comes up with surprisingly fresh images, such as you have produced here. Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 567 Posted April 3, 2015 Jack,Thanks. Well stated. When it happens, it is hard to take credit. Link to comment
