mike_palermiti 0 Posted November 28, 2013 Hi Lannie,A nice result my friend. Two of my favorite , easy to hand hold Nikkor 300 mm lens are the 300 mm F/4.5 EDIF and the 300mm F/4 EDIF. IThe first is all manual, and the second never is used in Auto-focus mode because I do much better manually focusing any lens. These two lens above test better than the newest 300 mm F/4 lens using Vibration Control (Image Stabilization). Mt faster Nikkor 300mm F/2.8 EDIF is outstanding, but like the lens above, it is used in manual mode only. The beast of all 300 mm lens is the Nikkor 300 mm F/2 which really requires a tripod or monopod to hold its nearly 20 pound package up right ! It too, is all manual.Best Regards, Mike Link to comment
