One more great surreal work of yours! Non so perchè ma mi fa pensare ad un Don Chisciotte dei giorni nostri! Bravo Pierre! Un saluto Sergio

Mille grazie amico mio! Tu non sai perché ti fa pensare di Don Chisciotte, ma lo so! E 'perché io sono un Don Chisciotte del nostro tempo!

Pierre, That is clear; the skater has eight rollers and the horse has only four legs, ha! Best regards my friend.

Clever conclusion, Marco! But, it's desert, must be sand there, plenty of sand! I should have put one of my saguaros to be clear that there is sand, ha!

Thank you for your visit and witty comment,. my friend!

A dashing rider sauntering majestically on the horizon perpendicular to the rising or dipping sun... a pugnacious skater trundling along parallel to him, a bit ahead on the barren sun baked earth/sand. You say the skater is barrelling ahead... perhaps at this point, but i wonder about the long haul...

Dear Pierre,

Art that challenges the viewer is always good, but for the viewer to accept the challenge there does need to be something immediately compelling, something that will hold one's attention long enough to work through (or want to work through) those challenges. You seem to have great success in finding that formula and balance, and that is why I always enjoy your "desert" images. The initial impact is consistently appealing, then mind numbing anachronisms and juxtapositions get the brain immediately in gear.

I am not sure I have fully resolved the challenges in this image yet, but I look forward to continuing the process and know it will be worth it.

Another very creative work, Bravo!

Tim

eight, well, eight can hardly be beat.

your shadows still defy physics, or perhaps the sun is a lot closer than i thought. the old man is most cool.  epd

Electric, you are right about the shadows! They should be in smaller angle the more distant source of the light and since the sun is almost indefinitely distant they should be parallel to our view!

Thank you for opening my mind at last, you learned cousin!

Mr Kraft, how come you are being so familiar with horse's psychology?! Thank you for your information, next time I'll put him where he wants to be!

Dear Jamie, it isn't! Not only in regard of your brother's remark, but even if the sun was so close the shadows are not right! The sun, horseman and the shadow are not in one line! Same with the roller! Why? Because I decided to replace the two loners in the desert together with their shadows without rearranging the shadows! I must rework this "masterpiece" of mine, ha!

Yes Pierre, this era requests human - even for aged - being much faster than what was in the former. Very nice comparison.

Hi Pierre,

Some people just roll though life, with no particular direction or goals in mind.

The horse has the natural instincts to know where to go, and the resolve of such an animal often

surpasses that of man.

Getting somewhere is a result , but the value of that journey is another story not found here.

Best Regards my friend, Uncle Mike

As AJ stated PD your images evoke many points of view and get people talking...hmm..isn't that what art is supposed to do. The shadow observations by the Kraft krew is very entertaining and right. Pierre,  another fine piece of work my friend. Take care.

Holger

Thank you Museeb! I didn't show some better example of the superiority of mankind on purpose! Otherwise, I said it before, the roller will soon be stuck up in the sand and the horse will continue his journey!

Uncle Mike, thank you for your philosophic, psychological and sociological observation! But I think it's all a matter of education, IE all horses are educated equally while people differ in their raising of their children so that each man is different from the others! If we observe the matter theologically we will get to the same conclusion!

Holger, I said that I wanted a harsh critique in my request for critique, but that was in regard of this picture only and I didn't get such critique until you attacked harshly on my whole opus, ha!

Thanks for your friendly and serious warning!

Eduard, there are so far no changes but covering the pictures categorized as nudes with a white envelope on which it says: "Possible nude content!"! If you don't want to be disturbed by that silly thing you go to your workspace and up in the right corner there is Cover nudes: disable/enable and you simply click on disable!

Thanks for your visit and nice comment!
