gorgeous image,  if i may make one suggestion,  think image could work even better if you were to crop out cloth at bottom left,  realize you might lose a wee bit of finger but think the overall balance of image works better with the crop.  really love the lighting.

Roger - Thank you for taking the time to comment in such detail. I began adding the white fabric to my photographs against black to provide a grounded element for the figure. I realized, after it was discussed on another mailing list, that the figure tends to float in space without something like this.

i hear what your saying but on this particular image it seems to be all about the light which is just lovely on the model, love how it caresses her face runs down her arms and on to her hands, that all works really well and the material under her right hand is dark enough as to not interfere with the essence of the image, but the material under her left hand is too bright and distracts from the beautifully lit model. this is all of course just the ramblings of one viewer, think what am trying to say is the cloth interferes with the flow of the light on the model. i could also just be full of beans! nice image!

Forgetting the previous comments for a moment. Simply put this is wonderful. This is fine as is. The 'squiggle' of fabric does draw the eye a little more than I would like it to. However cropping it out is a no no.
