I hadn’t noticed until now that bird watching is like a gambling

addiction and photographing them even more so. With the ante of a bag

of sunflower seeds, there is the rare chance of a jackpot – a useable

image. As with most addictions, it is not a matter of winning or

losing but the attraction of all that surrounds the game – the sound

of the roulette wheel, the hoof beats on the track, the bokeh of the

moment. Comments and critique appreciated.
