Pluerotus ostreatus

Last weeks mild wet weather afforded these oyster mushrooms a final

late season flush.

The pale scrolls and fluted shapes give me the impression of some kind of alien architecture. I like the very shallow dof and high key effect.

This is excellent - and it's unusual (and really works) to give fungal gills a high-key treatment. Wish I'd taken it!

This is a real delicate beauty. What kind of an oyster is it?? It looks like a human "fan" The light is perfect ,the colors in between the folders are so delicate that I realy would have liked to touch it, and feel the softness...;-))

Beautiful--the high-key treatment puts this into a dream-like space, while at the same time preserving the stunning detail.
