aarkp 2 Posted November 16, 2013 I like the strength of the bloom that supports the flyweight... a tough survivor. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 16, 2013 Welcome, Rajat and thank you for your critique with which you showed a keen eye and mind! PDE Link to comment
jorge_fernandez3 1 Posted November 16, 2013 this image reminds me of Ms. Cruz, who use to say that she was like a fly in the milk! Take good care my friend. Link to comment
w-j-li 0 Posted November 16, 2013 The bee is vivid with the life against the flowers in the dry condition. Not only the contract between the life and death but also the color and light contract as well. Excellent work. Best Regards, Link to comment
timothymuffitt 1 Posted November 16, 2013 Another beauty Pierre! So much can be read into this. I am first struck by the vitality of the insect, full of life, color strength, trying (one assumes in vain) to find sustenance from something that is a mere skeleton, or shadow of the real thing. But there is much more to see here. It is most pleasing to the eye as well...light, color and texture all quite compelling! Bravo!Tim Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 16, 2013 Hey, Jorge, you are very fast! I don't Mrs Cruz, but she is on the flower, I know! Never met her personally, ha! Thank you for your humorous comment! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 16, 2013 Hey, Wanghan, I like your comment! It gives some meaning to this picture! Unfortunately I had no bee in my collection of PSDs and put wasp instead! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 16, 2013 Thank you, Timothy! As always through and precise observation of the picture! PDE Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted November 16, 2013 I like the spotlight hitting the subject, it focuses the attention. It seems you have life, the wasp and death, the b&w flowers in the image as well, I don't know if that was the intention but just my take on it. Well conceived and executed my friend. All your work is very subjective and makes me think PD. Keep em' coming.Best,Holger Link to comment
mike_palermiti 3 Posted November 16, 2013 Hi Pierre,In Nature, every life form contributes to the big picture, the cycle of life. The wasp represents strength and often strikes fear from its sting to others, while the plant benefits from its visitations on a regular basis.Your delicate looking portrait , well presented, reveals this balance in Nature well.Best Regards my friend, Uncle Mike Link to comment
DavidRabinowitz 8 Posted November 16, 2013 excellent work Pierre...you've taken a two dimensional flower and added a three dimensional look to it with the bee...how unusual...regards....David Link to comment
JamieK 1 Posted November 16, 2013 got the big BEEt'' but that's a wasp, isn't it? I like it that stuff doesn't have to whack you over the head with meaning anymore. just a giant bee (wasp) and some flowers varying in luminance. cool. postmodern, somehow. kj p.s.: you should look in this brother's acct.... Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 16, 2013 Holger, I often don't know my intention, my aesthetic and other feelings lead me to something meaningful! Strange, but that's it! Thank you for your explanation of the meaning of this picture or should I have said for the thorough and keen observation! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 16, 2013 Very good comment, uncle Mike! You are further explaining me my picture! I'm serious! Thank you very much! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 16, 2013 David, I believe unusual means original! Thank you for your kind comment! PDE Link to comment
JamieK 1 Posted November 16, 2013 (sorry to interrupt, but what does he mean? bee/wasp/bee/wasp.) i like it too. epd Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 16, 2013 Mr Kraft, I don't know what's postmodern, I'm an ignorant and everybody knows that! But I know what's wasp and bee which I didn't have and I know how to make people think, or rather experience it as a bee! Thank you for your visit and kind comment! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 16, 2013 What are you talking Electronic, what interruption, I was expecting you cause I invited the whole family! Thank you for your visit and nice comment! PDE Link to comment
JamieK 1 Posted November 16, 2013 one of those meaty euro-wasps. one made his way into the folds of our nespresso recycling bag. he was in there for at least a day, buzzing in a desultory manner every hour or so. we had no idea what it was. he stung a hole in the plastic, but he couldn't make it out. he fell out when i unfolded the bag, but i sacrificed him for the benefit of wasp evolution. it's a wasp. jk p.s.: i'm beginning to think there are three of me. p.p.s.: how many am i, are we, verb noun? Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 16, 2013 Hey, Ruud, I didn't omit to see you, only I missed you when replying! Thank you for your precious visit and usually nice comment! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 16, 2013 Jamie, you wasp killer, you! We should care animals and nourish them all, no matter whether they give honey or not! Many warriors in the human history were glorified...and mostly killed on the end, I admit! Thank you for your precious visit and bringing the whole family on my exhibition with one picture! PDE P.S. You are the finest family I've ever met, Jamie! No matter how many are you, if you ask me you may multiply, good for the benefit of the art and the world in general, especially for my pages full of comments! Link to comment
