These are not trained birds, they are injured and are hopefully, being rehabilitated to be returned to the wild if possible. Interesting that most of the injuries were caused by run-ins with cars. G

Very nice detail of a female Kestrel, they got the stripe pattern that run vertical. The male Kestrel got the heart shape-like black dots on the chest. TFS!

That background is very complementary to the bird's plummage, btw.

Thanks -I didn't know that. I wish I had increased the f-stop a little so the head would have been in focus too- oh well!
