These birds are quite skittish and insect feeders, so are always on the wing. I took this shot from a long way off as he kept moving away as we moved closer.

So my crop has been considerable. The background mosaque has "evolved ", in essence, it was quite far behind the bird in the original capture and hence has been magnified by the strong crop..... that said, the bird is supposed to be the centre of attraction - and I hope that is the case.

It was just a day in the park to see what was around........ a lazy day that I enjoyed.

Regards

Hi Grayham,

A nice looking subject.

I had expected to see the 200mm + 2X = 400 mm F/5.6 used for a long distant shot , not 330 mm at F/6.3. The settings are ok but not as optimal as the full zoom would have been at F/5.6.

The branch was on ther high side for exposure, so I adjusted the levels a bit.

Take care my friend, Mike

Nice bird, well composed crop, the blurred background is fine too but not as sharp as one would wish it. Regards, Tibi
