Thanks for viewing/comments! ... This one might be viewed as the prettiest

one of the Osprey Fishing series but it's not the most difficult . However, I am

very please to get this shot since it took me the last 4,5 years to get this one :-)

... something that I am relatively happy with for this week :-)

Thanks Margaret! I shoot at least 100,000 clicks a year and probably devoted about 15,000 each year for Fishing Osprey. So, after 4,5 years means that is 1 good shot from about 50,000 Osprey shots  :-) - Nothing like being lucky though, on the right side of the good afternoon light, clear background, good pose ... ect - May be I should buy a lottery ticket this week, LOL!

Fantastic! One suggestion for improvement though: frame it and put it on a wall! :) This is truly perfect! Congratulations!

We are always in awe of your bird photography! The majority of your shots is sharp, precise, capturing incredible positions or performances. With your remarks of how long and how many clicks it takes to accomplish your goal, we are also impressed with your persistence and your patience!

WOW!  What an awesome shot.  A nice sharp focus showing good detail.  The b/g is good too.  You must have steady hands to hand hold a 700mm.

Thanks Greg & Verena! I do get lots of luck in shooting bird (I will admit to that). As far as the persistency, I think my Mother used to say .. 'the kid is too thick to know when to quit ' /jk! - Actually, I think when you love something it's not work but it's play and it's fun. Shoot, analyze and make correction till you get it right.

Thanks Bill! The White Pelicans have been robbing the Osprey on this pond Bill  :-)

You are rightly proud of this excellent result, to get a picture so beautiful  reward for all the hours spent to bring home something good, ciao Giangiorgio

Tm J,

Always enjoy the photographs you present and share with us on nearly a daily basis, . . . and, . . . yes, I'm envious of the variety of subjects you get to choose from on a day to day shoot!

I especially like your introductions for critique and can fully understand the efforts required to obtain the wonderful results you get with your visions of what you want the photographs end result to be. So, . . . with that said, . . . congratulations here!

This one needs framed and put on the wall! (I'm sure someone already said that! But, here it is again! (smiles))

Regards always,

Jim j.

Thanks Jim! Yes, I sure get a lot of birdshots almost everyday and that's the blessing of Southern California good weather. Don't forget that we pay for it with what some coined as the 'sunshine tax'  ... where houses in the bad area (drive by shooting often) are in the 400-500K .  On top of that, I am blessed to work only a few miles from the park (El Dorado Park in Long Beach, CA) and live only a few miles from San Joaquin Wildlife Sancturary in Irvine (as well as Newport backbay where I was shooting for a long time). Along with all that, I am also lucky enough  to have a hidden 'Goldmine' (don't tell my Boss who still sleep at home when I go to work in the morning) to allow me to own the 1D Mark III + the 500mm F4 and both the wonderful 1.4x & 2x TC III (great gear).
