Very nice, Diane, but the focus seems a bit quirky on the left side.  Is it an illusion that it is out of focus over there?

You're right - it is out of focus.  This is a crop of the larger shot... and as I look at it, I think the focus is in the upper part of the tree.  As you can tell, I'm still learning about this ne lens.
