The fact remains that you have an eye for simple, but interesting objects which only you can find, Jack! Very cute spectacle here!

Best regards

the light and the shapes form a beautiful abstract, Jack; and yet the essence of the subject (bikes) dominate the meaning… ;-} dp

Jack,   Interesting idea of bicycles with extra useful functions. The seat for the kid at the back is fantastic and having a basket in front of the handlebar is also superb. Well composed and inspiring photograph.  Best wishes,

Where do you live? I'm originally from the US but have lived in Japan for the last 26 years. In America, bicycle are largely for sports or recreation but here in Osaka, they are used as an ordinary source of transportation. Front baskets to carry shopping purchases and rear seats for the kids are commonplace. I primarily get around by bicycle, which I consider one of the most useful inventions of modern times.

Jack,  Originally algerian and settled in London UK in 1980.  I certainly share your idea on cycling, it is a fantastic means of tranport and I remember with a certain nostalgia the "Tour de France" when Eddy Merckx as one of my heroes with many others (Anquetil, Poulidor...) it is a cultural thing and even if I occasionally had to ride, it will be in large parks or along rivers since inside London ( I think) is quite risky and certainly not bicycle friendly like Amsterdam or perhaps Osaka.  Best wishes,
