Laurent, really like this shot, the colours are wonderful across the full range. Great composition which leads the eye into the shot. Is this a shot of things to come for you, as winter approaches? Best wishes William.

I was impressed by the series of ICE photos just posted by José Manuel

CRuz and decided to try some PP on this one from last Spring's melt

on our shore ice to see how it would come out-Laurent

Thank you so much. This is a cycle which we cannot avoid and although I don't really look forward to it,I guess I have to take advantage of the good opportunities it offers.

It was not so cold as this was at the end of March and the water was not so deep.Thank you for examining and for the kind observation.

Laurent,

Impressive dynamic image. The DOF is outstanding. Colors vibrant without distracting from the great detail in the image.  Exposure spot on in very tricky lighting situation. Thanks for this one.

Thank you for dropping by and for leaving such a kind comment.I dug this one from early last spring and I am sure next March will bring similar scenes.

Nice contrast between the "warmth" of the ice on the left and the blue ice & sky.  The point of view is very good because the melting ice appears much larger than it really is.  And the sky is interesting.  I'd be careful using too much processing in dark areas.  For example, there is a thin green-grey band in the upper right where the tips of the clouds meet the dark sky.  It's not as noticeable on the small picture, but quite noticeable when enlarged.
