This iconic spot is one of the most photographed places in Glacier

National Park. It was so bright on this morning that I couldn't get a

good exposure on a wider shot. The vivid blue water was really the

attraction for me anyway.

It's one of those images where I just want to see MORE!  : - )

But I know you had the brightness to contend with.

You have done really well in capturing the majesty of this scene and the vivid blue of the lake is beautiful.  I just tried scrolling down to eliminate the foreground tree tops, leaving the small island in a kind of panorama composition and it looks very effective.

Compliments & Best Regards

You've taken the most photographed view in Glacier (so I'm told) and given it a new twist.  Most (myself included) are lulled into a wide angle view to capture the surrounding mountains and you've zoomed in for this unique frame.  Well done... Mike

Love it.   Saw this for the first time this year and your photo brings back good memories.

Alf.....yes, your idea totally works.  I think I've just seen too many pictures of this with a wider perspective, and the thought never crossed my mind.   Thanks for opening my eyes to another idea.

Mike....thanks so much.  I'm beginning to like the cropped version, though at first I was disappointed in it.  After all, the island is the subject, and at least this way you see the island rather just a speck in the middle of the water.

Ernest....thanks so much....and for your other comments on recent images.

Gregory.....Truth be told, I had to look it up also.  I was thinking it was 'Spirit' Island, but that's at another park.  Thank goodness for the Internet.  :-)  Thanks for your visit.

Dominick.....I knew you took a long trip to this part of the country.  I haven't been over to your site for a while though, so I'll do that soon.  Thanks for stopping by.
