This is really lovely.

Better balance perhaps than the misty one (though I like that too for different reasons)  The different shades of green and grey in this makes it look almost tangible, and the scale is breath taking, what a sight this must have been.

Sincere Compliments!

I like how you've left the Welcome Center in, it's a stark reminder of the scale of this mountain.  Fantastic shot... Wish I was there now :-)...  Mike

Jose.....thanks so much....very kind of you to take a look at my portfolio.

Alf.....Yes, I think that's the thing I like most about Glacier National Park.....the grandeur of it.  It's an amazing place, and I'm glad you get a sense of the scale from this.  The main road going through the park is called 'Going to the Sun Road'.  It climbs to this point called Logan Pass, and then descends on the other side.   It's probably closed by now and will remain that way until possibly as late as next June.

Mike.....That's not the reason I left it in, but yeah, you're right.....it does help with the sense of scale to include the visitor's center.  Speaking of the visitor's center......once again on this trip we weren't able to hike the Highline Trail.  A couple of years ago we couldn't do it because of inclement weather.  This time we had our pick-up truck, which was hard to maneuver in the parking lot.  We drove for 45 minutes and could not get a parking spot.  (The ranger had told us if we were there before 11:00 we'd be fine).  We had intended to get there very early, but by the time I stopped to take pictures on the way up, we got there after 10:00.  So anyway, Norm (usually the patient one) was losing his patience and wanted to leave.  I was disappointed, but we'll be back there many times because it's so close to where our daughter lives.  We went on the Swiftcurrent Lake hike at Many Glacier instead......a lovely hike if you haven't done it.  Thanks....and I'm glad I can bring you pleasant memories of Glacier. :-)

Beautiful. The other side of this topography is Waterton park on the Canadian side. When I was in waterton (2009), I should have done the 'short drive' to visit here but due to time constraints, I did not.  Seeing this, is giving me regrets.

Christal,   You have nice detail and texture in the image.  You bring back memories from when we visited Glacier National Park way back in 1980.  It does have spectacular grandeur.   It is a shame that so much of the snow and glaciers have melted.   Nice image.  Best to you as always. Larry
