Fantastic image - layers of forest divided by light areas of fog and snow. Conversion to monochrome is very good decision here as it's very graphical - max!

Nice soft b&W.  The soft grays work well with the fog.  A bit more of the dark values would add a nice touch too.  I like this one - nice work.  Just for information, you may want to look at the Nik Collection of pugins that includes SilverEfex 2, a superb B&W conversion tool.  The collection is sold as a group of six or seven useful plugins for $149.00. I am sure that all that the software does  can be done manually with Photoshop if one has the know how.   I have no interest in this software other than being personally impressed with it.  It works in Photoshop, Lightroom, and Adobe Bridge as well as Aperture.   Best to you.  Larry
