This is a very nice shot but placing the bird in the middle of the frame makes the composition look static.  Since the bird is looking to the left, placing it on the right vertical third makes the composition a lot more interesting.

Thanks Scott! Glad you stopped by and left your thought on the crop :-) . I think you are right about the subject a bit centered but I think your crop is cutting too much. I would just crop the right side a bit more but not as extreme as you did.  Thanks for sharing you thought! :-)
