A wonderful shot Richard - almost like a painting.

 

Just to show another possibility, I cropped it and increased the mid-range contrast with CS5 shadow-highlight. As you know, I never claim mine to be better, it is just for discussion.

I like Tony's crop. It emphasizes the field. In your original image the tree from the right is a bit distracting and I find myself wanting more of the field if that was what interested you.
