Here comes the bad, picky guy again Eystein... ;-)

I would have cropped 1/3 from bellow to get a more cinematic wide frame sence and to get rid the part that's a bit out of the DOF area.

Sky is magestic and technically perfect ...but in the large view i can spot a short spikes texture over water. I can't tell if it's because my screen is calibrated at maximum sharpness or if it is residual from acute sharpening.

In any way it's a photo worth seen and thank you for sharing it.

Picking is fine. I appreciate and we can always learn from each other. Next time I'll pick on you. I can't see the spikes you mention on the lake. Can be my monitor. Cropping... yes you may absolutely be right, but only 1/4 in my opinion. I never make radical changes on a published image, and I have never found out (never tried hard) how to publish a new image below the other. Maybe I try it this time. Thank you anyway.

Regards Eystein

Hi Eystein,

it's been a while ...

another exceptional landscape shot. Compostion is very powerful and the tones are breath-taking. I really love those coast lines - they add a lot of interest. Altogether, a capture to be proud of!

Has this one been taken in Norway?

Have a nice week-end!

Impressive landscape and good sky....and that snow, nice on photo but announcing a long winter.Any significance to the monument on the left which filts nicely in the foreground? Good work!...I have just discovered how to add an image to a uploaded one;after you have confirmed your comment, the next page which allows you to return to the original page has a window allowing you to attach a photo. If you want photo to appear with your comment, you must reduce it to 630 on the large side otherwise,if bigger,it will appear as a link at the bottom of your comment.   Hope this works for you.

Meilleures salutations-Laurent

Landscape is superb and delight the eyes, those stones in left make a lot in this scenery,I like too the mix here of autumn colors and blue of bg.Of course is possible to do different version with this photo but important is that is a so nice image,I say this in idea above said to crop a bit from foreground to change format and have maybe a better visual effect, also me too I see on the water some texture(spikes?),is possible that was windy moment on the water and from this angle it appears so,I am not sure about this.

my best regards

Laurent, Patsy and Radu, thank you for comments. Laurent - thanks for the tip. I will give it a try, but not today. Radu, I took yet another look at the lake, and now I can see some spikes, but there is some wind, so maybe that's the reason.

I saw after my comment a photo with wind on water and was exactly this texture with small lines waves, and in your photo from distance it looks so,good to know for future photos and say that is normal to be so.

my best to you and a very good weekend

Interesting, most likely ancient pile of stones and very well saturated surrounding! Well done, Eystein!

Best regards
