I think that was the initial attraction for me.  Things get colourful around here in the autumn.  Thanks for your most welcome visit.  Best, LM.

A celebration of autumn. Just beautiful!  We were on a 2-month road trip this summer, and we had hoped to time it so we'd hit the fall color in BC, Montana, Wyoming and S. Dakota.  Unfortunately, colors were a little later this year and we missed it all.  Thanks for finding and posting this!

Was just out for a walk in a local park,  any excuse to unleash my new D5100 & try to make sense of it all.  Bummer about missing the colours.  Perhaps a visit to Tony Hadley's portfolio will help fill in some of the blanks for you.  Best, LM.

Hi Len

Vibrant look and works beautiful. In the 17th century Sir Newton designed the first color wheel and he placed red against green, what is called as Complementary. It is not easy to combine this complementary but you have exceed this difficulty by your good abstraction. Kind regards

Thanks for your observation and the history lesson.  I wasn't aware of that aspect.  A different type of contrast than light vs dark.  Contrasting (complimentary) colours.  I was thinking of this before I lined up the shot.  Proves I occasionally get it right.  :-)  Best, LM.

Autumn is a favourite time for most photographers, me included.  Strong colours and many moods are available depending on atmospherics.  This one was taken on a bright overcast day helping to reveal those deep colours.  Good to have your views.  Best, LM.

We all feed off each other for ideas.  Your folders contain many inspirational images too.  No bad ones, some just better than others.  Kinda like beer!  :-)  Best, LM.
