When pondering the reasons for the demise of this store one possible explanation could be their attitude toward their potential customers.  :-)  Best viewed 'Large'.  Best, LM.

Bytes are beating bricks... when you have the marketplace at your finger tips why move out of your cosy swivel chair to make the iffy trip to a brick and mortar place. T-shirts such as G-F-Y are passe now... design your own online and get them delivered at home. And those who don't have internet probably can't afford frivolous buys anyways...

Perhaps if I got out of my cozy swivel chair more often I wouldn't be so surprised to see one of these 'T' shirts. :-)  In truth, I think this is only the second one I've seen, the first being on a young girl at a local carnival.  More likely to be seen in a cosmopolitan city like Toronto than at your local rural county fair.  Though I feel I'm no prude, I'm happy to hear that this type of clothing is now considered passe' and is falling from favour.  It may be humorous to a certain demographic but I think it demonstrates questionable social taste at best.  Still, I couldn't resist a frame or two.  Thanks to the passers-by for injecting a human element into the shot.  Best, LM.

I like it a lot. Excellent contrast and well organized composition of that crowded background. Good sharpness even at corners - looks like it's done at your lens sweet spot.

I was thinking of you, a fine street shooter, when I was at this location.  My records show that this was my 119th shot on my new camera and was shot wide open at the full tele end of the lens.  'Sweet Spot'?  Well, if not it's still good enough for moi.  Some mild cropping as this was shot from the other side of Yonge St.  Good to hear from you again.  Best, LM.

Very good work with the sharp details.  It shows some meaning with our daily life.  Like it in B/W.  Best Regards,

Just a lucky shot!  I guess the more one looks for shots like this the luckier one gets.  :-)  Thanks for taking the time and thanks for your thoughts on this one.  Best, LM.

Oops!  Almost missed you there. Yah, there are times when B&W is superior to a colour version.  Colours, especially strong ones in the wrong place, can draw the eye away from what the photographer felt was important.  Other times colour actually improves the image, especially if it helps keep the viewer's eye on the subject. Thanks for your thoughts.  Best, LM.

So you spotted the 'Cocaine & Caviar' offering?  Yah, probably one of his items of apparel.  I used to be a fan of his (a right wing presence in a left wing council) but this past year or two he's turned out to be  nothing but an embarrassment.  On the plus side he's provided comedians world wide with material.  They must be pleased.  Thanks for the validation.  Best, LM.

Yeah, but the GFY shirt seems to fit his personality as well.  Don't let him embarrass you too much, he's a politician, we all understand...  Mike

Civic elections are coming up later this year so it'll be interesting to see how many of his followers jump ship.  I don't live there so it means little to me but I am disappointed in him anyway.  Initially I thought his mode of operation was a breath of fresh air but his personal lifestyle negates any good he's done.  Thanks for the follow up.  Best, LM.
