This photo was shot close to sunset. At this angle, west, it had already gone down behind the Coastal Mountain Range. The sky was brilliant with light still while the countryside on the east side was much darker, obviously. It would have been difficult to alter this effect. Short of some serious PS work. I'd rather avoid doing too much in PS. I like to know I took a decent photo that didn't need too much PS assistance.

Nice contrast and depth of field. Clouds are great.
