ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted November 15, 2013 Very good mood created here. A nicely done one point perspective. Maybe too bright at the end point Link to comment
alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted November 15, 2013 Nice composition with a POV that has great potential. Unfortunately (IMHO) the over-use of a warm/orange filter has all but obliterated that. The tops of the cobblestone curb should be neutral to gray, as should the road. Then the curb would lead us down the road. Instead of being 3D with a pull, the warm filter has flattened this lovely image leaving it quite static rather than dynamic. Maybe a little less post-processing would be a good thing. Again, just one person's humble opinion. Congrats on being chosen Photo of the Day. Link to comment
stp 6 Posted November 15, 2013 You have a great line of older trees that do well in the fog, allowing more light in some areas than others. I would have been tempted to zoom/walk toward the nearest trees to eliminate the space on the far left, although perhaps that might reduce the dimensionality of the photo in an adverse way (hard to see in my mind's eye -- I'd want to compare side-by-side). Again using my mind's eye, I can imagine what a figure or an animal moving down the road could have added to the photo. I would have wanted to park myself here to wait for someone either near or far. That's just another possibility; I do like the composition and atmosphere you have here. Link to comment
