Sad to see the decline of many main streets in small towns across

the USA.

An interesting and admirable tale to be told. So much of this going on. Interestingly, you've given this an almost storybook feel, the muted reds and glues having a sort of benign influence on an otherwise very sad story. There's an irony in that. The sense of indoor/outdoor is well presented here. One thing that hampers my viewing a little is the close top crop. A little more sky, I think, would give a little more breathing room and provide the context. I assume you wanted to include the foreground post and drawing on the ground and that likely went into your framing decision.
