earlier image, I deleted it in favor of this version that I believe

includes more of the gray scale values and has more detail. Please

A piece of great cleverness, "too much" nice the B/W conversion!

Masterful B&W.  It really "makes" the image.  

Absolutely astonishing. IMHO his is what BW sometimes does to an otherwise relatively simple landscape, it propels it to another level, one of drama and visual impact. The tonal range is great, and the mountains in the middle of the top and bottom elements makes them stand out, although the sky is fighting to be a protagonist (with good chances of it...). Very technically achieved. Well done.
